Food Fun: Ice Cream Soda!

By B.Nova - Sunday, August 04, 2013

Since I discovered there was a lactose free ice cream, I realized that is one of the things I truly missed eating. Growing there was a restaurant where I used to live that made these in any of their homemade flavors. These are really simple to make and you can do it with just about any flavor of ice cream, (sorbet could work too!).

Here is what I used:

|| Tall glass | Straw | Club Soda (you can also use a lemon-lime soda) | Ice Cream (any flavor) | Ice Cream Scoop ||

1. I add about 4-5 scoops of ice cream to the glass. Depending on how big your glass is you may need more or less. Don't push it down because you want the club soda to be able to go through to the bottom of the glass.

2. Next add the club or lemon-lime soda and watch the magic happen! Be careful not to overfill it or you'll have a bubbly overflow onto the counter. Using the straw (or if you want, a spoon), and gently stir the ice cream and soda.

3. This is the best part...enjoy it until the last drop!

I recently purchased a Bamboo Tablet (which I'll post about very soon) and have been playing around with it (as you can see).
