Lace & Overalls

So this spring I am so obsessed with overalls. I have a long denim pair, a pair of overall shorts, and these here. I remember wearing them when I was younger, and they were one thing I've always loved to wear. Since they've been back in trend, it has allowed me to find some stylish pairs in all sorts of styles and colors. When I was in PacSun, this literally screamed my name. They have a slim fit, but also stretch which makes for a stylish combination of practicality and comfort. No matter if people wear them to follow a trend or not, I will always be wearing my overalls - you just can't go wrong!

Dryel for Quilts?!

So a long time ago I made a quilt out of t-shirts to help with de-cluttering my drawers. If you can do it or know someone that can do it for you, I totally encourage it because not only do you keep the memories, but you can also make the space. I ended up with a 36-square quilt that has kept me warm so many times.

When the time came for me to figure out how to clean it. There are so many ways to clean quilts, but no matter the way, no one recommended sticking it directly into the washing machine. There was also no way I could or would have the time to spot clean or hand wash this massive thing. Usually when I have more delicate, dry clean only pieces, I'd place them in the Dryel bag and clean them that way. So I figured, why not clean my quilt in the Dryel bag too! Since the quilt is entirely cotton, I knew heat would mess it up.

I followed the instructions as for any other item you would clean in the bag. Well I have to say I was excited to see that not only was the quilt protected, but it was clean without a lot of work.

Now I'm not sure if this will work with all quilts - I know that handmade quilts are very delicate because of the stitching and construction, but this method worked for me and I intend to do it again the next time I have to clean it - which hopefully will not be too often.

Teal & Purple Stripe

So I had been trying to figure out a way to wear my stripe pants. I've had them for a while, but I wanted to mix it up without wearing only one color with stripes. I also had to alter these a little because they didn't fit me quite right so trying to fit that in my hectic schedule took a little while. But none the less, here is my result.

Red Layer Mix

I know! I know! I've been away from you guys from a while, but I must admit life has become so CRAZY for me. There have been some changes going on that I will share soon, but for now here is another stylish post!

As the weather continues to change, I still find myself finding different ways to be stylish in layers. Since I love my leggings so much, this look was inspired by layering my leggings in a very spring-like way. I wear my Delicious Vinyl shirt all the time, in fact I have 2, it's just that comfortable.
