Wegmans Is Here And I'm Back!

By B.Nova - Monday, September 30, 2019

Hello all of you out there!

So after a long hiatus I'm back. I realized how much I've been wanting to get back to blogging. I really enjoyed it before and now that I am immersed in taking more photos, the thought of bringing back the blog just made sense. I even gave it a makeover!

I decided to change the name from The Couture Butterfly to Bossa Nova Style, but it's still me. Quite a bit has happened in the three years. My style has evolved, my hair is blue, and my interests have expanded. I've been so pumped to get back to posting, so here goes!

If there is one place that brings me joy, it is Wegmans. Yes, it is a grocery store, but for me it is so much more than that. We finally have our first store here in Raleigh that opened yesterday, but I was introduced to it when I lived in upstate New York years ago. This store is so incredible and the food speaks for itself. For years any opportunity to stop at this store up and down the highway, from Virginia to New York, it was always worked in on road trips. A few months ago, I had the chance to visit that very Wegmans while visiting some dear friends. It's an experience. These are some shots from over the years and a few from the Raleigh store:

This is a picture of the new Raleigh store the week before it opened. I drove through just to make sure all was well!

This is a picture of the store in Johnson City, NY. I always have to stop at this store when I am up for a visit. No seriously, we work it into the schedule!

The Wegmans Train is a must see. Every store has one. It is a signature mark of a Wegmans Store.

My shopping cart from yesterday; I did way better than I expected. I thought I'd have more in the cart, but then I realized I can come back. I don't have to travel over 100 miles to get to Wegmans anymore. It is in an area I travel frequently so I will have to fight the urge to stop by every time.

It was bliss!

One of the best things about Wegmans is the non-dairy section. Since I am dairy-free, it opened my eyes to so many different products that hadn't made their way down to Raleigh or that have began to head this way.

Here is my top 10 products at Wegmans in no particular order (they're all good):
  1. Almond Milk - Original Flavor
  2. Baked Goods/Cookies
  3. Wayfare Non-Dairy Products and all the rest of the Non-Dairy deliciousness
  4. Hot Bar
  5. Sushi Bar
  6. Pastas
  7. Sparkling Water
  8. Fruits and Veggies Selection
  9. Sauces and Dressing
  10. The Wegmans App

And now it is time for me to get cooking, but I will be making trips to Wegmans if I need anything else!
